Kill 2-09 Moorefield 2-05
Our Senior Camogie Team played their 5th round of Division 2 league at home on Monday evening against a very strong Moorefield side.
The game began with end to end play and both teams tapping over the points. Every score was hard fought with both teams battling to go ahead. Fortunately, it was Kill who pulled ahead with a goal from Louise Dunne and left Kill leading at half time with a score off Kill 1-06 to Moorefield 0-04.
The second half saw Moorefield come out fighting and within a few minutes had scored a goal and 1 point on the trot. The Kill girls dug deep and were determined to keep the lead and with a couple of great points scored by Michaela Kavanagh, Trina Temple and Caoimhe Broderick, Kill kept in front.
When Moorfield scored a second goal the Kill girls held their nerve and their battling form and when Sarah Cullen put the sliotar in the back of the net from a well taken free it was a fitting end and well-deserved win for the Kill Team.
